Under the Westpac Group's Employee Share Plan, up to $1,000 worth of Westpac shares can be allocated to eligible employees, every year, providing certain Westpac Group performance targets are met.
The Employee Share Plan (ESP) is a reward scheme that provides eligible employees the opportunity to become a Westpac shareholder for the first time, or to add to their existing shareholding. Westpac shares up to a maximum value of $1,000 are allocated at no cost to employees. The ESP has also been designed to enable participating employees to benefit from a tax exemption of up to $1,000 depending on their own individual circumstances.
The ESP is offered to under an 'opt-out' process. That is you will be taken as accepting the invitation unless you let us know you don't want the shares during an 'opt-out' period.
At St.George eligible employees can ‘salary sacrifice’ which means you can take certain benefits as ‘pre-tax’ items, such as vehicles airport lounge membership and superannuation contributions.
