Identification

Under current government legislation, customers of financial institutions need to provide personal identification when opening any account (including loan accounts), or when becoming signatories to accounts. Choose the methods of identification that suit you from the following lists. Note that these are a guide only - please contact your branch for more information.

If you can not attend a branch to be identified, you can complete a Certified Identification form.

Some notes for your guidance

Customers must provide a residential address if they want to use a PO Box for their mail.
Once you have been verified under the identification system, there is no need to verify you as a signatory again whilst you remain an account holder with St.George.
All documents presented for identification must be originals with the exception of an extract of a Birth Certificate.
Customers must provide two forms of identification. One form must be a Primary form of identification.
The Primary form of identification must contain the customer full name and either their residential address (not a PO Box) and/or date of birth.
All individuals who are signatories to an account must be identified unless already identified. This includes Alternate Signing Authority, Power of Attorney and Supplementary Card Holders.
