  1.  Why upgrade my credit card?

    As your needs change, you could get more out of your credit card by switching to another St.George card.

    Before you apply, you should compare our credit cards, including their interest rates and fees, so that you choose the product that is right for you. You can also call us on 13 33 30 or visit a branch to discuss these products.

  2.  Do I pay an annual fee on my new card?

    You will pay the full annual fee of the card you change to when you activate your new card.

  3.  What happens to my balance on my existing card?

    You remain liable for any outstanding transactions made on your existing card. Any balances you still owe on your card plus any accrued but unpaid interest on your existing account will be subject to the new product’s Conditions of Use and Fees and Charges.

  4.  What if I need to increase my credit limit?

    If you apply for another card from St.George that has a higher minimum credit limit than you currently have, you will also need to apply to increase your credit limit. Complete the Online Credit Limit Increase Application or download and print the PDF Credit Limit Increase Application form.

  5.  How do I apply to switch my card?

    To apply, complete the Request for a Credit Card Transfer Form. Or call us on 1300 784 934 or visit any St.George branch to discuss your options.

2The earning of Amplify points are earned on eligible purchases through the use of an Amplify Card and is subject to the Amplify Rewards Terms and Conditions. Amplify points are not earned on cash advances, balance transfers and ATM withdrawals. You are not entitled to amplify points in other specified circumstances. You need a minimum of 3,000 Amplify points before you can redeem for any reward. Specific conditions may apply to the redemption of particular rewards. Refer to amplify.stgeorge.com.au.

3The earning of Qantas Frequent Flyer points are earned on eligible purchases through the use of an Amplify Card is subject to the Amplify Qantas Terms and Conditions. Qantas Frequent Flyer points are not earned on cash advances, balance transfers and any withdrawals. You are not entitled to Qantas Frequent Flyer points in other specified circumstances. You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn and redeem Qantas Frequent Flyer points. Membership and points are subject to the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. A joining fee usually applies, but St.George has arranged for this to be waived for a limited time, for new Amplify cardholders who aren’t already members who choose to link their Amplify Card to Amplify Qantas (limit of one complimentary membership per new account).
