St.George launches one-stop shop Business Banking App

St.George Bank has launched a dedicated business banking mobile app, providing a one-stop shop for small businesses to access all their everyday banking needs from the palm of their hand.

The app, available on Android and Apple smartphones will allow St.George customers to do their banking when and where it suits them, including transfers, payment authorisations, account openings and live chat customer service support.

Dhiren Kulkarni, CIO at St.George says the focus of the app was to equip small business customers with the tools they need to help their business grow and manage their everyday banking conveniently and securely while on the go.

“St.George understands small businesses are juggling many demands and are time poor. To help them get ahead with their banking, we’ve designed the app with fast, easy and convenient banking solutions, including the option to live chat with a business expert and connect directly with their banker,” he said.

The Business Banking Mobile App is an upgrade of St.George’s Business Banking online service and supports its growing customer base of more than a third (35%) of customers now performing the majority of their banking tasks using an app on a mobile phone.

Travis Tyler, St.George’s Head of Mobile says small businesses are looking for more convenient ways to do their banking and the app is built to help them keep up with the speed of business and manage their finances with on the spot banking solutions.

“Our business customers can rest assured knowing they can keep their payroll up-to-date by using the app to bank via their smartphone, anytime, anywhere, at home or overseas,” he said.

The design of the app supports recent research from St.George Mobile Banking Study 2014 which showed that 75 per cent of Australians surveyed rated ease of use as the most important feature of an app, followed with 63 per cent ranking the range of tasks available, and 33 per cent on the ability to personalise the experience.

With the new Business Banking Mobile App you can:

  • Approve payments on the go securely with SecurID tokens
  • Dual access to consumer and business profiles from the one business app
  • Apply for a credit card or a savings account
  • Work out which savings account is right for you on the savings comparison tool
  • Access the latest rates with the foreign exchange calculator and make overseas payments
  • Take credit or debit card payments with Mobile PayWay, anytime, anywhere
  • Locate your nearest branch, banker or ATM

The app is part of St.George Bank’s package of support for SMEs which includes Business Connect – a network of videos enabled in bank branches so customers can access bankers via video when it suits them.
