Will my Daily Card Limits change with the new St.George Visa Debit card?

Cash

A limit of $1,000 applies to the total of all cash withdrawals made using each card linked to an account, including: 

  • ATM cash withdrawals
  • POS cash out transactions
  • Fund transfers processed through eftpos

Your limit can be changed to any whole dollar amount up to $2,000. You can change your limit in Internet Banking, by calling Phone Banking or visiting a branch.

Purchases 

A limit of $8,000 applies to the total amount of all purchase transactions made using each card linked to an account, for example: 

  • Transactions made through a POS terminal
  • Contactless transactions
  • Transactions made online or by phone using a Visa Debit card number and expiry date on the front of the card 

You can change your limit, for example, if you’re planning a large purchase, by calling Phone Banking or visiting a branch.

How can I update the Daily Card Limits for cash?

You can change or update your St.George Visa Debit card daily purchase limit and cash withdrawal limit in Internet Banking or the St.George App:

Using the St.George App

  1. Select Services at the bottom of your screen
  2. Select Change ATM/EFTPOS cash limit under the My Cards menu
  3. Select your card from the drop-down list
  4. Select a limit, or Other from the drop-down list
  5. Select Confirm

Using St.George Internet Banking

  1. Select Manage My Accounts
  2. Select Manage ATM & EFTPOS Cash Limit under the Card Services menu 
  3. Select your card from the drop-down list
  4. Set a new limit to a value between $0 and $2000 in the indicated box
  5. Select Confirm.
