What are ESG Risk Ratings?
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) is an approach to evaluating a company’s risk by evaluating the size of its unmanaged ESG risk. Within this methodology, only risks which are considered to potentially have a substantial impact on the company’s economic value are assessed. The more of the risk that is unmanaged, then the higher the ESG Risk Rating score.
1ESG Risk Ratings are provided by Sustainalytics. Sustainalytics is a subsidiary of Morningstar Inc.

ESG Risk Ratings are available on the Directshares platform (desktop and mobile app).
Simply search via the stock code in the ‘Search instruments’ panel at the top left-hand side of any platform page.
