Every grant recipient has their story. Here are some for 2020.

Logan City Saints Rugby Union Club:
New uniforms and equipment
Logan City Saints Rugby Union Club is devoted to ensuring their players not only become great rugby people, but great role models within the community. Their St.George Footy Grant will bring the community together by funding the purchase of uniforms and equipment, making it more affordable for families in Logan to play rugby.

Frenchville Sports Club:
Field maintenance, new uniforms and equipment
Frenchville Sports Club has been significantly affected by COVID-19, with no income to offset the costs for ongoing field maintenance. Their St.George Footy Grant will help equip the junior and senior teams with new uniforms and balls to help get them back on the paddock.

The Lions Rugby Club:
Financial assistance
COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on The Lions Rugby, with cash reserves dangerously low they are struggling to pay for basic club necessities. Their St.George Footy Grant will fund rent, power, licences and insurance costs, helping them get back on their feet to revitalise their position for the upcoming rugby season.

Blue Mountains Kangaroos JAFL Club:
New equipment, jerseys and scoreboard
The Blue Mountains Kangaroos JAFL Club are in need of new equipment, jerseys and a scoreboard for their home ground. Their St.George Footy Grant will provide them an opportunity to kick off their AFL season the right way.

Queanbeyan Junior Tigers AFL:
First aid equipment and courses
The Tigers are committed to the safety and inclusivity of the boys and girls (aged 4 to 18) at Queanbeyan Junior Tigers AFL. Their St.George Footy Grant will help the club purchase first aid equipment and courses for volunteers to ensure all teams are fully equipped with adequate first aid.

Forbes Junior AFL and Auskick:
Expand junior teams
Forbes Junior AFL and Auskick are dedicated to providing opportunities for kids in all junior age groups to play AFL. With an explicit focus on community development, their St.George Footy Grant will aid in growing the game, helping them achieve their goals to expand into a fully-fledged incorporated junior club.

Lisa Zamattia:
New boots and protective wear for her two kids
Lisa Zamattia has two sons who are dedicated and passionate footy players. With COVID-19 largely impacting their family, their St.George Footy Grant will help buy her boys footy boots and protective wear to get them back on the field achieving their dreams.

The Cudgen Junior Rugby League Football Club:
Rebuilding home ground facilities
The Cudgen Junior Rugby League Football Club lost their clubhouse to a devastating fire in May, along with decades of history and memorabilia. Their St.George Footy Grant will assist in rebuilding dressing sheds, giving their players the home ground they deserve.

Junee Diesels:
Pay outstanding fees for struggling families
Junee Diesels have struggled in recent years to pay off outstanding debts due to the lack of junior players coming through the club. With juniors in the hands of the clubs future, their St.George Footy Grant will be dedicated to growing the division and supporting their community goals.
