Opening a bank account
If you've recently arrived in Australia the first thing you may need is an everyday bank account for your day to day banking. In Australia this is known as a transaction account. You can deposit money into this account (and get your salary paid into it) and it's also the account you'll use to access your money, whether it's getting cash out at an ATM (cash machine) or shopping online with a Visa Debit card.1

A St.George transaction account is a great way to take care of your day-to-day banking needs.
Handy features include:
- Easy access to your cash at multilingual ATMs (8 languages to choose from)
- Shop securely online with your own money using a Visa Debit card (backed up by the St.George Fraud Money Back guarantee)2
- Mobile and Internet Banking, so you can look after your money anywhere, anytime.
