Where to find official COVID-19 advice

The situation surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is uncertain and changes regularly. Keeping up to date with government responses and knowing what you can do to look after yourself and family, your people and your business really helps.

Federal Government updates

You can stay up-to-date with the latest official Federal Government news, updates and advice on Coronavirus from the Australian Government website.

Coronavirus Australia app and WhatsApp channel

The Federal Government’s official government ‘Coronavirus Australia’ app is available in the Apple App Store or Google Play.

You can also join the official WhatsApp channel on iOS or Android

The Coronavirus Australia app keeps you up to date with the evolving situation. It includes a symptom checker, resources, including links to national health plan fact sheets, a national register isolation, news and media and more.

The WhatsApp channel provides updates depending on which number or emoji you type in.

What’s happening for commercial and residential tenants

The Federal Government is asking landlords, tenants and financial institutions to find ways to keep businesses in business so they can start again once the impacts of COVID-19 subside.

For residential tenants, the Prime Minister said: “States and territories will be moving to put a moratorium on evictions of persons as a result of financial distress if they are unable to meet their commitments. And so there will be a moratorium on evictions for the next six months under those rental arrangements.”

This situation is changing. Keep updated at Coronavirus information and support for business.
