What is Visa Secure?
Visa Secure is a service that protects you when you use your St.George Visa card to buy online from participating stores. It makes shopping online with your St.George Visa card safer and more secure by verifying the identity of the cardholder. It adds extra security on your credit card at no additional cost.
How does Visa Secure work?
Visa Secure uses advanced 3-D Secure technology to verify your identity as you shop online. If the system detects anything that looks slightly unusual – if you make a large purchase or buy something from a new device, for example – it asks the cardholder for additional information to confirm the transaction is genuine.
Why does St.George use Visa Secure?
The purpose of Visa Secure is to bring more of the security and convenience of face-to-face transactions to the experience of shopping online. It’s a simple but comprehensive way to protect cardholders against fraud – an extra layer of security to make your online shopping experience better and safer.
How do I start using Visa Secure?
Visa Secure is automatically available on all St.George Visa cards – you don’t need to do anything to set it up. It’s important to note that Visa Secure only works if we have your correct contact details. Take time to log onto St.George Internet Banking or the St.George Mobile Banking app, or call our customer service centre on 13 33 30 to make sure your phone number and email address are up-to-date.

Visa Secure is available as a service on all St.George Visa Credit Cards and the Visa Debit cards that come with our Complete Freedom transaction accounts.
